Web Designer, Graphic Designer, Front End Designer, Application Designer, Visualizer? I don’t have clue that what would be the suitable word to call. But one thing is common “User Experience”.
UX DESIGNER!!! Wanna make your career into this? If ”Yeah, but how?” is your answer, this article is especially for you.
The major difference between the designer position will be the kind of project in which they will be involved. When it comes to technical stuffs, all are almost same. As User Experience is the most common word in all kind of designer profession, I would like to use UX-Designer throughout the article.
What is UX Design?
A person’s personal experience with a product including Graphical presentation, Physical Interaction, Structure is called as UX Design. Not clear? Take it down an example.
First time you enter into a multiplex theatre with more than 5 theatre inside it. Your ultimate reason for the visit would be to watch a film. Or else, even though you just want to spare few minutes there, the infrastructural should convince your brain to watch a film there.
How you experience the Multiplexer till the end of the film in each and ever moment is called User Experience.
1. Once you reach the entrance of the building, you should recognize that is a multiplexer.
2. Now your eye sight go to the posters of the running movies in the multiplexer with show timings.
3. Oops! No any film attracts you. But they should not lose one lead. Few more features may attract you like AC, Sound Systems, Hangouts.
4. Finally you decided to watch a movie. Great! But how will you find the right place to get tickets? There should be clear navigator which will guide you to right place where you want to go.
5. Got tickets. That’s nice. Its time to get into the auditorium. Here after your experience like seating, cleanliness, retail shops, will make you a regular visitor for that multiplexer.
The personal experience you got from the Multiplexer from the first step to the last moment is called as “USER EXPERIENCE”
Then what is User Experience in Digital Industry?
Simple, How a visitor experience experience your website or product is called as USER EXPERIENCE
Who is UX Designer?
It should be annoying. But I’ve to explain here. An UX-Designer / User Experience Designer the person who take care the complete flow of the product/website and bring soul (visual design) to that product.
Why do I’ve to choose UX Designer as my profession?
After your graduation, you should be working some where. But why do you have to work as a UX Designer? You will know, once you come to know how a UX Designer’s day to day life is.
A UX Designer’s day will be spending most part of his time with analysing how the end user of a product/website will be. He (Designer) will be asking questions like:
What kind of stuff the user has?
What the user actually expect from the product?
How do we can simplify his decision making steps?
What will be the best way to let the user know what he has to do next?
Fine! This is one part of his work. Then what is next? Bringing his analysis into design. This session would be more interesting and of course challenging too. In this session he needs the following stuffs:
– Uniqueness which is the first thing that highlights a designer from a group.
- Highly innovative and creative.
– Should know the trend in Design.
– Best usage of colours in Web / Product Designing.
– Difficulties during Design to Coding Conversion.
If you are good in “Analysing End Users” and have “Good Design Sense”, you are the right person to be a successful UX Designer
How do I can become a UX Designer?
You’ve the fundamental knowledge needed to be a UX Deisnger. Fabulous! You can be a good UX Designer by learning the following software and programs.

A life without Photoshop for web designer would be like Life without water for a fish. That is 100% true. Adobe Photoshop has that much number of design tools to give life to your design ideas.
